The new OpenSprinker AC standard power supply

From now on we will deliver it OpenSprinkler AC as well as the OSPi with a new standard power pack (if ordered).

This power supply was developed exclusively for the OpenSprinklerShop and is not available anywhere else in this version.

The properties and differences in detail:

• Output: 24VAC with up to 1,5A, 36VA
• Protection circuit: Protects against overheating and short circuits!
• Can serve up to 8 zones at the same time! See linked video below!
• No more power supply hum!
• No more adapter plug necessary, directly on the orange one OSPi/OpenSprinkler Plug screwable!
• No price change to the previous standard power supply

• Available here or for new orders from OpenSprinkler AC or OSPi simply tick “standard power supply”!

Since this power supply can serve up to 8 zones, it is absolutely no longer necessary for normal installation to offer more powerful power supplies. For this reason we stop selling the 1A, 2A, 3A and 5A power supplies and only offer this standard power supply. However, for commercial and larger installations we still offer the powerful ones DIN rail power supplies

Note: “Up to 8” because other manufacturers' solenoid valves may have different ratings. Just at OSPi the power supply must also supply the Raspberry Pi, which further costs power.

But also that OpenSprinkler-Ethernet adapter needs power, so there are “only” 7 left.

The power supply is specified as 24VAC 1500mA. During my test I could measure a voltage of 23,9V at 1580mA. The power supply only got lukewarm even after 15 minutes of constant load.

Further note: As well as the OpenSprinkler the power supply is not waterproof.
