Corona: We are open!

Even in these difficult times, we have opened our online shop and ship Monday-Friday with DHL. We have filled our warehouse as a precaution and have all products in stock or can get them at short notice. However, there is a small drop of bitterness: Thanks to a business customer contract, DHL collects the shipments from us every day. Due to the current situation, this is apparently [...]

DC or AC?

What is better, OpenSprinkler in the DC or in the AC variant? First you have to explain where the differences are. DC stands for "Direct Current" and means direct voltage while AC stands for "Alternate Current" and alternating voltage. A distinction is made here between two different power supplies. But which one is “better”? This question can […]

Exclusive DIN rail mounts

For OpenSprinkler 3.0 and OSPI we exclusively have DIN rail mounts (DIN RAIL) in our range. These are printed using a 3D printer and are therefore an optimal fit. the OSPI Brackets are slightly wider than those of the OpenSprinklers 3.0. Of course including screws. You will receive a pair of these mounts with the purchase of a case in the “pre-assembled” version.

24VDC valves?

24VDC valves, i.e. 24V direct voltage valves, are quite rare and cannot be included directly OpenSprinkler be used. While 24VAC and 12VDC valves with no problem OpenSprinkler AC and OpenSprinkler DC can work, 24VDC valves cannot be used directly. The reason is the high voltage. OpenSprinkler DC has an internal voltage converter, which can handle a maximum of 12VDC, 24VDC would […]

Flowmeter

A flow meter can also be connected to the sensor input. In principle, all two-wire flow meters can be connected. If an additional 5VDC is required, this can be tapped off at the VIN connection. The whole thing works like this: Connection of the flow meter to the OpenSprinkler. Start the app and go to “Edit Options” / “Weather and Sensors”. Set “Sensor Type” to “Flow” […]
