The of TRUEBNER developed and manufactured SMT50 is a particularly inexpensive FDR soil moisture sensor.
Compact, functional and robust: The glass fiber reinforced circuit board enables a cost-effective design and easy installation thanks to the blade shape. The housing and cable are waterproof.
The SMT50 has a large measuring range. It is maintenance-free and frost-resistant. With its short measuring time and the low influence of salinity, it is suitable for continuous use.
Soil moisture and temperature are output as voltage signals.

You need more SMT50 than we have in stock? No problem! We can have any quantity delivered to you directly from the factory.
For connecting the SMT50 to the OpenSprinkler 3/3.2 will that Analog sensor board needed!
For connecting the SMT50 to the OSPi The analog interfaces can be used (versions with analog chip). Alternatively, the A2D adaptors should be used.
Mounting
Install the SMT50 in the root region, horizontally, upright, so that one edge is on top. Simply sticking it into the ground is possible, but will result in inaccurate values.
The temperature sensor is in the black cap and should therefore also be underground.
Please also note that correct measurement is not possible in material that contains a lot of air, e.g. gravel.
