In the meantime, i had decided on the automatic version in order to be as flexible as possible in the application. I haven’t installed opensprinkler yet, but i’ve already used the pump manually and in that case the automatic version is very practical.
I’m especially interested in insights on ensuring the pump fits through the standard opening of an IBC container.
I can ensure that it will not fit (at least into my IBC container), because i figured out that the DN150 opening means that the outer diameter is 150mm, not the inner, but the pump diameter is 149mm, so there are some mm missing.
I have not yet wanted to drill out the container, so my actual idea is to use a second usual rainbarrel in the same height, that is connetect to the container (keyword Hydrostatic paradox or communicating tubes) and use this to place the pump (although it seems to be easier, to just cut a bigger opening into the conatiner 😉 ).
Btw the support has confirmed to me, that the automatic version can also be switched on and off with a smart switch.
i am definitely interested in your solution.
