As far as I understand, you have to set the same start time for zones 1 and 3 and manually set a different start time for zones 2 and 4, which is after the watering time of the first zones.

Because you can't form groups where you then say this or that group should be processed sequentially. You can only tell each zone that it should be processed sequentially. So if you have two zones with the same or overlapping watering time, you can only use the “Sequential” flag to say that they cannot be activated at the same time but one after the other. A zone is then delayed until the previous one is finished.
