Hi, I got these Opensprinkler Bought AC version (power connector in orange) and Hunter VAC valves.

Unfortunately I can't get the valves to work.

I have connected one wire of the valve to Zone 1 and the other to COM.
As soon as I Opensprinkler the valve “clicks” at the power connection. So opens? And it gets very warm/hot after 2-3 minutes.
If I now want to open zone 1 via app, nothing happens...

The version (AC) should be correct right?

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Thank you

What power supply are you using? It must be a 24VAC - NO 24VDC !!

Whenever all valves open immediately after switching on, then it seems to be the wrong power supply unit, because the triacs used need a zero crossing to switch, which only works with AC voltage.

Disconnect immediately OpenSprinkler from the (wrong) power pack because of the high current flow OpenSprinkler and solenoid valves dangerously overloaded.

Thanks, stupidly I actually connected an AC/DC power supply :-/
I didn't see that until I read the "fine print".

    Thanks for the tip.
