    Hello!

First of all: I haven't used OpenSprinkler yet. Hence the possibly somewhat layman's question.

In the future I would like to control 4 zones (sequential), but I only want to install one soil moisture sensor.
    Can OpenSprinkler handle this properly?

After looking through various instructions, I'm honestly not sure whether it works the way I want.

    My idea:
    – I set a desired irrigation time (e.g. zone A from 4:00 a.m. to 4:15 a.m., zone B from 4:15 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., etc.).
    – Does the floor have e.g. After 10 minutes of watering the desired humidity, the watering stops in this zone
    – the reference value (in this case 10 minutes) is now used for the irrigation of zone B
    – etc etc

Does it work the way I imagine? Or would I really need 4 sensors for such a case? Or would you solve it completely differently?

    Best regards
    Patrick

    Hello,

that's no problem. Firstly, it is not the zone that is adjusted, but the programs. If all 4 zones are in one program, there is only one adjustment. However, if you want to have a separate program for each zone, then simply create 4 adjustments for each program.

The soil moisture is processed via the “Program adjustments” function.

You create 4 of these, each with the same sensor, but always with a different program

    Thanks for your answer.

But that means: Even if the zone valves are activated sequentially, zone 2 is started even though zone 1 was stopped early because the ground is already moist enough?
Just want to be on the safe side before I buy the controller :)

As already said, the program is being adapted.
Next to us, we have two zones 1 and 2, with a running time of Zone1 = 2 and Zone2 = 5 minutes. This corresponds to 100%
If the soil moisture sensor only reports partial moisture and the program adjustment calculates 50%, then the program runs with Zone1 = 1 and Zone2 = 2.5 minutes
