Hi,

I watched it again, the amount of rain was sometimes a day late. Today I also saw the following, see screenshots. At the top of the main view it says 27 degrees, but in the system info it's only 21 below max. The latter is more like yesterday's value.

I don't get any information about the amount of rain. For me the system info looks like this

Due to the dry weather, I haven't noticed any delay in rain yet. Irrigation runs according to program and is not interrupted.

Hello everyone,

Is there actually a statement about the problem with the daily delay?
The day before yesterday I had an irrigation level of 0%, even though it didn't rain that day, but the day before?
Or have I fundamentally misunderstood something about the Zimmermann method?

My current status currently looks like this:

Best regards
Matthias

Unfortunately I didn't get any further information about this. Here in the threat are only our messages. For a long time I couldn't check the weather control because of the summer weather and the lack of rain, as I only work with a rain delay, not a Zimmerman.

The rain delay was activated for today, based on the weather report retrieved at 8:26 a.m. This morning there was 1.3mm of rain, yesterday it was dry. The last rain was 2 days ago. So it seems to work somewhat. But to make an accurate assessment I would need the weather to change every few days.

Best regards

OpenSprinkler always requests the weather for the last 24 hours from the weather providers. Most then provide 1 hour slots with the weather data.

The weather display in the APP has nothing to do with irrigation control. Only what is stated under “diagnosis” is decisive.

In my opinion, the main problem is that the weather is only called up every 4 hours. If it has just rained for 3.5 hours and is still raining, this is often not recognized.

Therefore, in the latest firmware 111 I have installed the weather call to 1 minute before the next planned program start (if the last weather call is older than 30 minutes)

You can compare the results from DWD and OpenSprinkler:
The call is made via the Bright Sky service.
https://api.brightsky.dev/weather?lat=<LAT>&lon=<LON>&date=<DATE-HOUR>

Go to Google Maps and right click on your house. The coordinates appear and are copied to the clipboard with a click.

Now enter these two values into lat and lon. The date is today's date minus one day. Hour behind the T. It looks like this:
So February 13th, 2023 8:30 a.m. is therefore 2023-02-12T08

https://api.brightsky.dev/weather?lat=49.445997919488484&lon=8.575522199246443&date=2023-02-12T08

A list with the weather measurement data will then appear. Under “precipitation” is the rain measurement value
