    According to several references, it should be possible to change the VDC usage of OSPI v1.52 and OSPI zone extension to VDC by replacing Triac (MAC97) with an N-MOSFET (e.g. AO3400) or similar.
    When I compare the schematics of OSPI v1.52/OSPI Zone Expansion and the OpenSprinkler VDC Zone Expansion, some resistors and a capacitor between them are missing.

    OSPI v1.52        OSPI Zone Expansion   OpenSprinkler VDC Zone Expansion
    R1 = 330Ω         R1 = 330Ω                       R1 = 1KΩ
    R2 = Missing    R2 = Missing                   R2 = 2.2Ω/1W
    R3 = Missing    R3 = Missing                   R3 = 100KΩ
    R4 = 47Ω           R4 = Missing                   R4 = Missing
    C1 = 0.01µ         C1 = Missing                    C1 = Missing

    My questions for the modifications to VDC use:
    – Can R1 stay at 330Ω or is 1KΩ required?
    – Is R2 required and what formula is used to calculate the value?
    – Is R3 required and what formula is used to calculate the value?
    – Kann R4 & C1 auf der Platine belassen werden oder muss eines davon entfernt werden?

    Angesteuert werden mehrere 6VDC Pumpen mit max. ~3.5W und zwei 12VDC Pumpen mit ~15W.

    Danke im Voraus für Erfahrungsberichte und Tipps zum Vorgehen.
    Grüsse
    Thomas

      Hello, unfortunately I have no idea about hardware modifications, so you would have to contact the manufacturer on OpenSprinkler.com.

    However, you can also control GPIOs directly with the OpenSprinkler software and use a Raspberry Pi expansion board.
