The OpenSprinkler 4 AC is available from October 16, 2026 – available for pre-order with us now.

With the OpenSprinkler 4 comes the first OpenSprinkler generation with ESP32. On the outside, everything remains tried and tested: the same housing, same connections as the OpenSprinkler 3.4, compatible with Zone Expander, Sensor Expander, and Ethernet module. Inside, an ESP32-C6 operates with significantly more performance and memory.

What's new

• ESP32-C6 instead of ESP8266: RISC-V with 160 MHz, 512 KB RAM, 8 MB Flash
• Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with WPA3 in the 2.4 GHz band
• Four sensor ports SN1–SN4; analog sensors (0–3.3 V) to follow with the next firmware update
• USB-C for firmware recovery and diagnostics – no programming adapter required anymore
• 802.15.4 wireless on board: Matter, Thread, and Zigbee are announced by the manufacturer for future firmware versions
• One-click firmware update, shipping with firmware 2.2.1(6)

Price and options

The OpenSprinkler 4 AC costs 239,00 € incl. VAT. Optional additions: standard power supply 24 VAC / 1.5 A (+ €20.00) and Ethernet network adapter (+ €20.00). There is now only one version (AC, 24 V AC); DC and latch users continue to use the OpenSprinkler 3.4/3.3 or the OpenSprinkler Pro.
