New: “External antenna” option for OpenSprinkler Pro and ESP32 Upgrade Board

From now on we are offering for the OpenSprinkler Pro and that ESP32 upgrade board a new option: the connection for a external antenna.

What is the use of the external antenna?

If the controller is installed in a metal distribution cabinet, in the basement or far away from the WLAN router, the reception of the internal circuit board antenna quickly reaches its limits. The Wi-Fi range can be significantly improved with an external antenna, as the antenna can be freely placed outside the housing.

What is included?

• This comes instead of the internal circuit board antenna U version of the ESP32 radio module U.FL/IPEX antenna connector for use.
• A suitable one Antenna cable (Pigtail, U.FL to SMA) lies by.
• A simple antenna is included, but you can also use a commercially available SMA WiFi antenna of your choice.

How to order the option

Simply tick the box on the respective product page “External antenna”. The additional charge is 20 € and can be combined with all variants.
