Lately I've been getting a lot of questions about housings for outdoor installation. Are you interested in matching housings?
This is a waterproof and dustproof housing for outdoor installation. Suitable for 1x power supply 35W and 1x OpenSprinkler. In principle also for 1x zone expander, but it has to be placed at the bottom. The power supply and OpenSprinkler are mounted on a top-hat rail; brackets for the OpenSprinkler are included.
The transparent lid has a seal and is screwed. However, you should not expose it to the sun, otherwise the contents will heat up too much.
Interest? Please email info@checkboxit.de

Many thanks. I'll be placing an order soon! Cheers
Hi there,
I intend to use the OpenSprinkler controller system on my new 500sqm lawn.
My property has a well from where I intend to get all the necessary water, when and if available.
My two questions are:
a) Can I use OpenSprinkler with a pump relay? If affirmative how? Do I need to create a delay to start the water pump in relation to the other valves?
b) Often during the Summer months the well may not have enough water and I would therefore like to switch the system to use water from the local water company. Is it possible? How can that be achieved?
Regards from Portugal
Hi,
a) yes, OpenSprinkler 3.0/3.2 AC has two master watering switches. You can define a starting and an ending delay.
b) you can use the second master watering switch for a 24VAC 3-way valve (or 230VAC with a 24VAC/230VAC relay). Enable it for the well, disable for local water company. Or use this one for manual switching: https://OpenSprinklerShop.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/3-wege-umschneider.jpg
Hello,
We do not have a top-hat rail power supply in our range for the DC model. Of course you can also simply put the included power supply at the bottom, but that's not the point. Or you can get an alternative DC top-hat rail power supply.
The housing is designed for a top-hat rail power supply and OpenSprinkler, possibly even with a zone expander. This makes it ideal for the AC version with a top-hat rail power supply.
Such a housing is particularly advantageous if you want to expand it later, e.g. with relay for light switching, threshold switch for humidity, zone expander or if the installation simply needs to look professional.
Alternatively, the housing can of course also be used without pre-assembly; it has a metal back panel and the OpenSprinkler can therefore be mounted directly on it.
Muss ich vormontiert nehmen, wenn ich den opensprinkler dc mit lan nehme? Oder ist das Gehäuse nur für die ac Version mit separatem Netzteil? Danke
