For OpenSprinkler 3.0 and OSPI we have exclusive DIN rail mounts (DIN RAIL) in our program. These are printed using a 3D printer and are therefore an optimal fit. The OSPI brackets are slightly wider than those of the OpenSprinkler 3.0. Of course including screws. You will receive a few of these brackets when you purchase a “pre-assembled” case.
24VDC valves, i.e. 24V direct voltage valves, are quite rare and cannot be used directly with OpenSprinkler. While 24VAC and 12VDC valves can work easily with OpenSprinkler AC and OpenSprinkler DC, 24VDC valves cannot be used directly. The reason is the high voltage. OpenSprinkler DC has an internal voltage converter that can handle a maximum of 12VDC, 24VDC would […]

A flow meter can also be connected to the sensor input. In principle, all two-wire flow meters can be connected. If an additional 5VDC is required, this can be tapped at the VIN connection. The whole thing works like this: Connecting the flow meter to the OpenSprinkler. Start the app and go to “Edit options” / “Weather and sensors”. Set “Sensor Type” to “Flow” […]

In principle, all rain sensors work on the same principle: a container collects the water and when a certain amount is reached, a switch is triggered. But not the RAIN-CLIK sensor from Hunter, where the impulse is triggered as soon as it starts to rain. This means OpenSprinker reacts much faster. Any ongoing irrigation will then be stopped immediately. Connect the rain sensor: The […]
