Note: “Up to 8” because other manufacturers' solenoid valves may have different ratings. Just at OSPi The power supply also has to supply the Raspberry Pi, which further costs power. This information is therefore to be understood as a guideline value.

But also that OpenSprinkler-Ethernet adapter needs power, so there are “only” 7 left.

Cable lengths > 10 m or with a small cross-section also dampen the performance.

The power supply is specified as 24VAC 1500mA. During my test I could measure a voltage of 23,9V at 1580mA. The power supply only got lukewarm even after 15 minutes of constant load. By the way, only the solenoid valves "hum" but not the power pack!

Further note: As well as the OpenSprinkler is the power supply not waterproof.
