Power supply: 24V AC model, 5-12V DC model * Additional 24VDC power supply required
AC power supply: Calculate the power using the following formula. To do this, you need to know the current consumption of the solenoid valves.
OpenSprinkler has a power consumption of approximately 2.2W = approx. 0.1A. A Rain-Bild solenoid valve has a maximum current of approximately 0.3A
I.e. with 4 solenoid valves AT THE SAME TIME you have 4x 0.3A + 0.1A = 1.3 A inrush current, the next larger power supply with 1.5A should be used. We have various power supplies in the shop.
If you only operate one or two solenoid valves at the same time, you have 2×0.3A+0.1A = 0.7A, a 1A power supply is sufficient. Even if you have 20 solenoid valves but only activate 2 at the same time, that is enough.
Note: This is just an example calculation! Please note the technical data of the solenoid valve manufacturer!
Note: Total maximum current=3A (fuse)
Note: Only applies to OpenSprinkler AC.
You can find other suitable power supplies here: AC plug-in power supplies, DC plug-in power supplies, AC DIN rail power supplies and DC DIN rail power supplies
Never connect more than ONE solenoid valve to ONE OpenSprinkler output! OpenSprinkler can switch several outputs at the same time, so it is not necessary to combine several valves. An AC output can deliver up to 800mA current. If that is not enough, then you should operate the outputs via relays.

Delivery arrived quickly. Setup was easy. Unfortunately, the device became defective after about 3 weeks.
I then contacted support in the morning and received a reply after just a few minutes.
Conclusion: The problem was solved after one day! The replacement unit was even brought to my home personally. A top grade with honors! Many shops could learn a lesson from that.

Very nice and quick contact, super fast delivery, really great!
I installed the OpenSprinkler AC in my existing Gardena system with 4 circuits including a rain sensor. No problems, good operating instructions, even the original Gardena power supply is sufficient as I don't switch more than 2 circuits at the same time.
Now I'll deal with the details of the automatic control by the weather forecast...
So the first impression is very good, this also applies to the app, which has so far been running smoothly on iPhone and iPad.
