VERSION 1.6 with 8 analog sensor inputs!
Kit:
OpenSprinkler Pi (OSPi) is an expansion card for Raspberry Pi (Zero W/WH; RPi 1 Model A + / B +; RPi 2; RPi 3; RPi 4). This allows RPi to directly access and control sprinkler valves. We cannot recommend the RPi 5 due to its high power consumption; please use the USB-C power supply for this.
This product requires previous experience with RPi as you must install the OSPi software yourself. If you are looking for a sprinkler controller that is ready to use out of the box, please see the fully assembled one OpenSprinkler 3.3 to.
Overview:
OSPi is designed as an expansion board that uses RPi's GPIO pins to directly control sprinkler valves, without an additional layer of microcontroller and Ethernet controller. In other words, it is a circuit board that allows an RPi to communicate directly with sprinkler valves.
NEW: Version 1.6 with 8x analog inputs (2x ADS1115 onboard) - this allows you to use the Analog Sensor API to control irrigation based on soil moisture
Characteristics:
Single power supply design - the same 24V AC sprinkler transformer powers both sprinkler valves AND RPi.
Rain/flow sensor connection, zone expansion card connection and surge protection.
Expandable – one OSPi supports 8 zones; expandable to 72 with OpenSprinkler Zone Expansion Boards.
Control from anywhere - use a modern browser or use our free apps for iOS, OSX, Android, Kindle Fire, Windows 8, Chrome and Firefox.
Automatic, Weather-Based Watering Time Adjustment – Use online weather data to automatically adjust watering time based on temperature, humidity and precipitation.
Open source and customizable.
Package includes:
- A fully assembled and tested OpenSprinkler Pi board.
- Connection plug (1x Green8, 1x Green6, 1x Orange)
- Spacers and screw connectors including screws
Packages do NOT include what you need:
- A Raspberry PI (Zero W/WH; RPi 1 Model A + / B +; RPi 2; RPi 3; RPi 4)
- A case (if you have a 3D printer, see github) – or choose one of our cases!
- 24VAC power supply. If you have an existing power supply from your (old) irrigation computer, you can reuse it. We recommend the “standard power supply” 24VAC 1.5A 36VA power supply.
- If you want to use the Raspberry for other functions, e.g. as a media center or for data capture, then you will also need a screen with an HDMI connection, a USB keyboard and a USB (wireless) mouse.
Optionally available:
- Housing for wall or DIN rail mounting (DIN rail holder required)
- Power supply 24V AC to power the solenoid valves AND the Raspberry Pi.
Note: Only suitable for people with Raspberry PI knowledge! For example, detailed knowledge is required for network integration.
On the other hand, with our product OpenSprinkler 3.0 AC or DC The W-LAN or Ethernet integration is solved very easily.
Remember, the Raspberry Pi has a Linux operating system and requires basic knowledge for installation and maintenance.
Various components of the Raspberry Pi are also not designed for winter temperatures, so you should dismantle them in winter.
Power supply: Standard power supply is a 24VAC 1.5A power supply 36VA
Max=3A (onboard fuse)
You can find other suitable power supplies here: Plug-in power supplies and DIN rail power supplies
NEVER connect MORE THAN ONE solenoid valve to ONE OpenSprinkler output! OpenSprinkler can switch several outputs at the same time, so it is not necessary to combine several valves. Exception: You use a relay for switching.
Further information (manual, circuit diagram) here: Manual and downloads
Note: Without a 24VAC power supply, the OSPi cannot control a solenoid valve!
Note: Without a housing, the OSPi cannot be mounted in our IP65 housing on a top-hat rail!
Available again: The acrylic housing:

Umarkt product! Fick göra ett hål for nätverkskabel with dremmel (vilket descriptions in documentations), men annars bara plug & play.
Anvander tillsammans med Gardenas 24V bevattningsventiler.
Hade the god att välja en färdig låda med hål for nätverkssladden hade the blivit en 5:a.

Good product and excellent service!
My first OSPI was defective, after two switching operations a chip on the board burned. Unfortunately it also cost the life of the Raspberry Pi3.
When I asked, a replacement board was sent to me very quickly and easily.
This now runs without any major problems with a Raspberry Pi2B.
The contact and customer support afterwards is also very good. My questions were answered quickly and competently!

So we recommend OpenSprinkler Pi (OSPi). Very easy to install so that you can have a minimum of computer configurations. The software is super flexible. É surpreendente e gratificante como de repente temos um grande controle sobre a rega e o não desperdício de agua.
It is a version of the Rasberry Pi for a complicated system that does not have any computer connections, but it is safe to use the OpenSprinkler Smarter version, which is ideal for this solution.
Eu estou super satisfeito com a minha compra.
